Lunch CE: Kilgore TEC and Kalwall - Daylighting and Sustainable Design

Topics discussed include the origins of translucent daylighting with the structural sandwich panel, considerations in design, enhancement of daylighting techniques, real energy conservation, the eight systems, and opportunities offered in contrast, design, form and aesthetics. The benefits of diffused natural daylighting when used in stadiums, gymnasiums, practice facilities, and aquatic centers are emphasized. Specialty performance systems including Daylight Modeling, blast resistant, hurricane impact and OSHA fall through protection is included. 
 
Kalwall Corporation, the inventor of the technology, is a registered provider with the AIA.  This program will provide one AIA/CES Learning Unit - Contact Hour - Health/Safety/Welfare and Sustainable Design.
