Tour Spokane Public Radio
Feb 24, 5:30 - 7pm
Fire Station No. 3
1229 N. Monroe St. Spokane
Tour the new home of Spokane Public Radio with AIA Spokane. Located in historic Fire Station No. 3, the new facility provides new broadcast spaces for KPBX, KSFC, and KPBZ community radio stations, a new performance and recording space, and office space for SPR’s administrative staff. Designed by Copeland Architecture & Construction and constructed by Walker Construction, the project was completed in 2015 and the station switched the broadcast signal to the new building in December.
The 100 year old building is on both the National and Spokane Registers of Historic Spaces and the interior and systems were completely remodeled to provide an efficient and healthy workspace striving for LEED Silver certification.
A quorum of AIA and Assoc AIA members are needed at this meeting. We'd like to ratify the budget that the Board presented at the 12/2/15 Winter Party.
